Austrian Airlines passengers rise 1.9%

Austria’s national carrier Austrian Airlines has announced passenger increases of 1.9% for August, with over 1.1 million people travelling with the airline.
The available seat kilometre also rose – by 1.7% – bolstered by new routes Chicago.
“We once again carried more passengers in the holiday month of August,” said Karsten Benz, chief commercial officer of Austrian Airlines. “Capacity utilisation on routes to the USA and European holiday destinations reached peak values. Austrian Airlines has made great progress with respect to productivity and profitability.”
