British Airways has launched a London City-Ibiza service. Fights depart and return on Monday, Fridays and Sundays on the new Embraer 190 aircraft. They have been timed to leave early in the morning and return in early evenings to avoid clubbers missing flights. Another Wednesday service will run throughout July and August only. This new service is perfectly placed for work-hard play-hard customers that are after convenience, style and comfort,” said BA CityFlyer Commercial Manager Luke Hayhoe. “With just two hours 15 minutes flying time and a minimum check-in time of 15 minutes at London City Airport, it certainly maximises party time.” To celebrate the inaugural flight, Paul Woolford, resident DJ at Space, Ibiza, will play a set in the BA lounge for customers and VIPs. “I’ve played in some pretty unusual places, but never in a lounge at the end of a runway before,” said Woolford.
