Back to business after Etihad bomb scare

Services to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram commenced at the beginning of June and since then Etihad has reported passenger figures on both routes have averaged more than 90 per cent across economy and business class.
Etihad will look to boost its network further during the next 12 months as discussions with the Indian government continue.

Midweek, Etihad Airways was forced to make an emergency landing in Sri Lanka on Wednesday after an in-flight bomb scare.
The flight from Jakarta to Abu Dhabi was diverted to Colombo after cabin crew found a suspicious bag on board the aircraft and all 262 passengers disembarked at the airport.
Etihad said no bomb was found but flight was delayed for 2 hours.
