Bagdogra airport is soon likely to get evening flights.
Located near Siliguri, Bagdogra currently offers flight during the day time for travellers to North Bengal, Darjeeling and Sikkim.
At a meeting with the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, Arun Mishra, Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), indicated that it would take steps to install night landing facility at the airport.
“The DGCA informed that some administrative issues have to be dealt with and the airport authority would require additional India Air Force personnel to initiate the facility apart from the technology installation,” Vikram Sen, Principal Secretary of West Bengal Tourism Department told the Hindu Business Line.
