Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has announced the appointment of Eman Marhoon as Vice President of Corporate Communications. Marhoon will oversee strategic messaging, media relations, and stakeholder engagement for Bahrain International Airport (BIA). With more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications and journalism, Marhoon previously held the position of Director of Corporate Communications at Gulf Air Group and BAC.
Ahmed Janahi, Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Airport Operations Officer of BAC, expressed confidence in Marhoon's capabilities, stating, “We are pleased to welcome Eman to Bahrain Airport Company. She brings valuable experience gained through her work across Gulf Air Group entities, along with strong exposure to the regional and global aviation and media landscapes.”
Marhoon's appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance BIA's status as Bahrain's primary gateway. Her familiarity with the airport and her communications expertise are expected to play a crucial role as BIA enters its next phase of growth. Gulf Air CEO Martin Gauss also praised Marhoon, noting her exceptional leadership in corporate communications within Bahrain's aviation community.
Marhoon holds a Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and a Master of Mass Communications. BAC, responsible for managing BIA, aims to maintain the airport's reputation as a modern boutique hub in the Gulf, reflecting Bahrain's distinct character and strengthening its position as a regional aviation centre.
