Indonesia is aiming to achieve UNESCO World Heritage status for three new sites in Bali, according to a BaliDiscovery.com report. The three areas are the rice terraces of Jatiluwih; the Pakerisan river valley; and the ‘Subak’ or traditional water irrigation system. A decision on the sites’ inclusion is due in June 2010.
