According to the PATA report, “Bali’s tourism fortunes have taken a roller-coaster ride in recent years due to security issues. International arrivals hit a peak of 1.53 million in the 12 months to September 2005 before bomb blasts in October of the same year saw numbers drop.”
It went on to say, “It now seems that a recovery is well underway, with international arrivals for the 12 months to April 2007 growing to 1.39 million, only 10% behind the
September 2005 peak.”
