Bali is considering creating a slow rail system that will circle the island, providing inexpensive access to many of the less-visited areas of the island. According to a BaliDiscovery.com report, Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika, will carry out a feasibility study for the project, which would aim at narrow the tourism imbalance between the north and south of the island. The development of an airport in northern Bali and an expressway connecting the north and south of the island are also being considered.
