Banyan Tree expands into Philippines

The US$200 million, 55-hectare Isla Diwaran integrated island resortis scheduled to open in 2012.
“The integrated resort development of Isla Diwaran heralds the arrival of Palawan as a serious tourism player and a new destinationin its own right,” the luxury resort operator’s Executive Chairman, Ho KwonPing, said.
The resort will feature three hotels with a total of 600 rooms, including oneunder its flagship Banyan Tree brand, the company said.
