Barrhead Travel has invested more than £700,000 in job investment for apprentices in Scotland.
The travel company will be recruiting 50 school and college leavers into its branches to help its growth and get young people into work.
Each apprentice will receive a training allowance, travel expenses and staff benefits while working towards a NVQ qualification in travel and tourism. Last year Barrhead took on 40 apprentices after the course completion.

Over the last 37 years the company has invested heavily in its workforce as it has grown throughout Scotland and into the north of England and Ireland,” said Wilma Taylor, head of staff development at Barrhead. “Our commitment to helping invest in the future of our young people has never been more important and our modern apprenticeship scheme gives the new recruits the opportunity to build an exciting career with real prospects”.
