The man envied by half of the world - Ben Southall - is visiting the Gulf this week to promote the Australian island he was paid big bucks to care take for a year.
Brit Ben Southall, who won the ‘best job in the world’ competition to be caretaker of Queensland’s Hamilton Island and write a blog about his experience to promote the destination worldwide, is continuing his mission to market the destination by touring the GCC and conducting media interviews.
When asked what Hamilton Island offered the Middle East market, he said: “There really is something for the entire family to enjoy, from lazing around doing nothing, to game fishing, sailing and great kids activities.
He said the island, part of the Whitsundays off Australia’s East coast, was ideal for a week-long vacation.
“A week there is enough time to visit the reef, go sailing, hold a koala, dine in luxury or fly out to Whitehaven beach – no other places in Australia allow you to do that,” he said.
“In the world it is one of those destinations which everybody wants to go to as the ultimate holiday location.”
