Best Western, Abacus partnership
Best Western International has announced a partnership with Abacus. Under this, Abacus-connected travel agents can now book Best Western worldwide hotels through the GDS’s hotel booking facility.
“The Abacus BAR programme not only helps the hotel manage its yield and maintain its product parity drive through all online channel, it also ensures Abacus agent’s ability to offer its customer the best available product offered by the hotel within a single POS, without the need to search through multiple channels,” said Patrick Lai – Abacus’ Vice-President for North Asia and Content Marketing.
Glenn de Souza, Vice President and head of Best Western International Asia office, said it’s a revenue-boosting programme for member hotels.
“With an increasing awareness and reliance of hotel promotions and bookings on GDS, Best Western’s step to partner Abacus is another step to widen our network of distribution.”
Best Western International Asia operates over 120 properties throughout Asia. It aims to add 200 hotels to its Asia portfolio by 2010.
