Best Western has revealed plans to launch its new boutique lifestyle brand, Vib, in Myanmar.
Scheduled to open in 2018, the new-build Vib Yangon will offer 110 rooms, all featuring complimentary Wi-Fi, work spaces with universal power outlets and USB ports, and Smart televisions.
The Vib social lobby concept provides seating, free Wi-Fi, USB ports, power outlets and LED lighting, while other amenities include mobile check-in, a “grab and go” snack station and a fitness centre.
“At Best Western we understand that today’s independently-minded guests demand a high degree of convenience and connectivity. That’s why we developed Vib – an ultra-modern hotel concept that focuses on the needs of millennial travellers,” explained Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s managing director of international operations for Asia.
“I am delighted to be able to announce the first Vib hotel in Myanmar, located in the fast-growing city of Yangon. It is incredibly fitting that we are launching this exciting new hotel concept in one of the world’s most exciting and dynamic destinations.”
The new hotel becomes the second Vib planned in Southeast Asia, following the recent announcement of a new-build hotel in Laos’ capital, Vientiane. It will also join two existing Best Western hotels in Yangon.
