Best Western International has opened its first property in Mauritius. The new Best Western Laguna Beach Mauritius has a beachfront location on the Indian Ocean island’s southeast coast, and features 64 rooms in Standard, Deluxe and Family categories. Resort facilities include a swimming pool, two restaurants – Sardinella Ristorante and Wahoo Beach Bar & Grill – a pool bar, spa, gym, internet corner, meeting room and boardroom. There are changing room facilities for guests with early morning or late evening flights.
Guests can also opt for a range of activities, such as parasailing, water skiing, scuba diving, tube and banana boat rides, catamaran cruises, speedboat and pirate boat trips, undersea walks and deep-sea fishing. The resort also lies close to four 18-hole international standard golf courses.
“The addition of Mauritius to Best Western International’s global portfolio of destinations is a strategic milestone for us. This popular island nation enjoys renowned status among many of the world’s tourists and is expanding its appeal into other sectors as well. The addition of the Best Western name to Mauritius’ accommodation scene is a win-win situation for all and we look forward to playing our part in the destination’s continued growth” said Best Western International’s Vice President of International Operations – Asia and the Middle East, Glenn de Souza.
