Best Western merges three Manila hotels
Best Western has merged three of its Manila hotels to create one large property.
Located in the Makati district of the city, the new Best Western Plus Antel Hotel becomes the first upscale Best Western Plus property in the Philippines, following a merger between three of the company’s existing properties; Best Western Antel Spa Suites, Best Western The A. Venue Suites and Best Western Plus Serenity Suites.
“Our three hotels in Makati City already had gained an excellent reputation and a strong following with both domestic and international visitors,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.
“Combining the three hotels, however, will enable us to offer an increased range of facilities and amenities to our guests, and to achieve significant operational synergies. This, in turn, will enable us to better focus our resources and offer the best possible experience to our customers,” he added.
The new Best Western Plus Antel Hotel will offer a total of 210 rooms, all of which open onto balconies and feature kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwaves, as well as work desks and complimentary in-room internet access.
The expanded hotel also offers a ballroom, eight function rooms, three lobby lounges, two restaurants, two swimming pools, two fitness centers, a spa, games room and a children’s playground.
Following the merger of the three Makati hotels, Best Western now has five properties in the Philippines, offering close to 700 rooms. The company is also planning to launch its first ever properties in Cebu and Angeles City.
