Weeks after launching its first hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Best Western has unveiled plans to open a second property in the Malaysian capital.
Due to open in 2015, the hotel will form part of the Bangsar Trade Centre complex – a six-tower commercial park including a convention centre. Facilities will include 378 rooms and suites all with complimentary internet access, plus a rooftop swimming pool and four food and beverage outlets.
The latest announcement follows the recent opening of the Best Western Premier Dua Sentral – the company’s first hotel in the city.
“The news of our second hotel in Kuala Lumpur, coming so soon after the opening of our first, is proof of the great faith Best Western has in the Malaysian hotel industry,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western’s Vice President International Operations for Asia & the Middle East.
“Best Western Premier Dua Sentral in Kuala Lumpur has already received tremendous feedback from our guests and the local community, and we are confident that our new hotel in Bangsar will receive positive feedback when it opens,” he added.
Best Western currently operates four hotels in Malaysia, offering more than 800 rooms in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Pangkor Island. This portfolio is expected to expand rapidly over the next few years, rising to 16 properties with a nationwide inventory of almost 2,000 rooms by the end of 2015.
