United Airlines marked the 15th anniversary of its route between Birmingham and New York this week with a gate ceremony at the UK airport.
Bob Schumacher, managing director sales UK & Ireland at United joined customers on its flight today, with entertainment from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and a Marilyn Monroe look-alike.
More than 1.5 million people have travelled on the route since its launch in 1997.
“We owe our success to the important partnerships with trade and corporate customers we have built over the past decade and a half, as well as the hard work and dedication of our local sales and operations teams,” said Schumacher.
