Romanian airline Blue Air and Amadeus have announced a tech partnership that will bring a wide range of Blue Air flights and fares on European routes to online and offline Amadeus subscribers.
The agreement forms part of Blue Air’s strategy to grow from 1.5 million carried passengers in 2014 to 2.5 million in 2017. It also demonstrates Amadeus’ commitment to deliver the best air content to the travel agencies, including key local providers.
According to the agreement all Amadeus GDS subscribers are granted access to Blue Air content including the last available seat. Ticketing on the airline electronic ticket stock is also available via BSP in Romania, Germany, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, France, Cyprus, Greece, Israel and Belgium.
Tudor Constantinescu, chief commercial officer, Blue Air said: “We are very pleased with Amadeus becoming our first global distribution partner. Thanks to this important agreement we are able to offer all of our published fares to travel agency partners using full e-ticketing. This means that Amadeus subscribers can sell all fares on Blue Air’s 42 scheduled destinations in Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The partnership with Amadeus is one of the key steps for Blue Air to expand our business.”
