bmi starts London-Amritsar

British Midland International (bmi) launched its direct service between London and Amritsar last week. The new service will be operate three times a week using a 232-seat, two-class Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
“We are offering Indian cuisine as well as Hindi movie and music on this route,” bmi’s CEO, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, said. “Our new connection from Amritsar to London offers unprecedented convenience and real value to UK-bound travellers from Punjab and will strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two regions,” he added.
bmi is part of Germany’s Lufthansa Group.
