Boeing’s profits fly

Boeing said its first-quarter profit rose 38% from a year ago to US$1.2 billion as commercial airplanes and defence operations helped the bottomline.
Boeing’s quarterly revenue rose four percent to US$16 billion, AFP said.
Amid delays to its new 787 Dreamliner aircraft, Chairman Jim McNerney said:
“We are methodically working through our challenges, including the start-up of the 787.”
