Borghetti quits Qantas after 36 years

Qantas Group Executive, John Borghetti, whowas in the running to replace Geoff Dixon as CEO last year, will leave theairline next month after 36 years with the company, according to an AAP report.
“John Borghetti recently discussed his role in the companywith me,” new CEO Alan Joyce was reported saying on Friday. “While we aredisappointed that he is leaving, we respect his view that 36 years with oneemployer definitely shows commitment over and above the norm.”
Following Mr Borghetti’s departure on 6 May, Rob Gurneywill be appointed to the role of Group Executive of Qantas Airlines Commercial,while Lesley Grant will be Executive Manager of Customer and Marketing.
