The Queen Hotel in Chester was the venue for 53 independent travel agents and Home Workers from 27 agencies who attended BRIGHT’s, (Bringing Real Information & Guaranteed High Quality Training), workshop and dinner on 20 April.
The event was hosted by representatives from African Pride, Kirker Holidays, First Class Holidays, Exodus, Veloso, Cox and Kings, Inside Japan, Viking Cruises, Sunvil and Oceania Cruises.
The evening’s top prize of a £100 shopping voucher was donated by Bright and won by Margaret Simm of Luxury Travel. In the raffle agents raised £230 for Reuben’s Retreat and this was doubled by Bright.

Said David Holland, deputy chairman of Bright, “At our Chester workshop and dinner we had the greatest turnout of independent agents for many years, indicating that North Wales, Cheshire and the surrounding area has a very high number of enthusiastic travel staff keen to learn from a range of specialist companies.
“Once again all our members have been impressed and uplifted by the very positive attitudes to summer selling that our guests have shown. Bright members are dedicated to supporting agents who show such an optimistic attitude to selling holidays.”
The next two events will be in Norwich on Tuesday 25 June and on 26 June in Ipswich .
