Britain boasts a top 5 beach in Europe

Woolacombe beach in Devon has been named a Top 5 Beach in Europe, according to a list compiled by TripAdvisor.
And Weymouth beach in Dorset was eighth while three other UK beaches made the European top 20.
TripAdvisor spokesman James Kay said: “The presence of two UK beaches in Europe’s top 10 is further proof of what a fantastic tourist draw the UK’s coastline really is.”
Coming in at 11 was Rhossili beach in Swansea and St Brelade’s Bay beach in Jersey was 14th.
Cornwall was represented by Porthminster beach at St Ives reaching 18th spot.
Woolacombe even went on to be listed as the 13th best beach in the world’s top beach table.
According to Tripadvisor the top beach in the world is Baia do Sancho in Brazil’s Fernando de Noronha island chain.
