Brussels Airlines reports significant growth

The national carrier of Belgium, Brussels Airlines has reported significant gains in its long haul business with a particular emphasis on growth in Africa, it has been revealed.
While its business in other markets did leave the carrier slightly down on the month, it still carried around 522,790 passengers – 0.7% less than last year.
The company has said the figures declined because fewer flights were scheduled in Europe. The carrier used the created capacity to operate charter flights to holiday destinations, which are not included in the statistics.
