Budget hotel chain to expand in Philippines
Budget hotel group, Gohotels will start to develop 20 properties across the Philippines this year. According to a Manila Times report, the chain, which is owned by local company, Robinsons Land Group (RLC), is planning to develop a portfolio of 30 Gohotels in the country by 2015. Gohotels will open in Bacolod and Dumaguete this year, followed by openings in Palawan, Iloilo, Davao, Tacloban and Cebu in 2012. The following year, more properties will rise in Pangasinan, Zamboanga, General Santos and Ilocos. Many of the new properties will be attached to Robinsons shopping malls – RLC’s retail arm.
