Bus crash kills 42 in Nepal

At least 42 passengers have been killed in a bus crash in Nepal. The bus, which was carrying more than 60 people from Sindhuli, in southeast Nepal to Kathmandu skidded off a stretch of mountainous road and plunged 400 metres into the valley below. According to Nepal’s Himalayan Times, a further 15 people have been hospitalised although it is not known if any of the injuries are life-threatening.
The driver is reported to have lost control of the vehicle on a steep stretch of road.
