Reed Exhibitions’ brand new business aviation event in Macau is swiftly taking shape with confirmation of attendance from leading industry players. Gulfstream are the first to commit aircraft to the event and Dassault, Hawker Beechcraft and Cessna are also among the first OEMs to demonstrate solid support for the two-day Asian Business Aviation event and static display taking place at the Macau Business Aviation Centre (MBAC) during 9-11 June, 2010. Companies expanding in the region, including TAG Aviation and Sino Private Aviation, have registered to benefit from the networking opportunities.
Asian Business Aviation will be a draw for manufacturers of business jets and helicopters, together with suppliers from all sectors of corporate aviation in co-located chalets and exhibition stands.
The Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), headed by Chairman Chuck Woods (CEO of JetAsia), has invited members to a co-located conference on 9 June targeted toward end users where they can learn about the charter market, the players, aircraft available, how to go about choosing a management company once they have purchased a jet, the cost of chartering and various options such as fractional ownership and jet card membership. ‘Business Aircraft in Asia - a buyer’s guide,’ is the working title. Jason Liao, Sales Director China for Bombardier Aerospace will address what to consider when looking to buy a jet and Simon Wagstaff, CEO of the ASA Group will lead a panel discussion on flying your aircraft in Asia. The conference will take a look at the advantages and disadvantaged of pre-owned versus new build business aircraft as well as the increasing number of models now coming to market as VIP airliner conversions.
Reed Exhibitions is working with the Civil Aviation Authority of Macau, the Macau Government Tourist Board, together with CAM Macau International Airport and the MBAC. Macau’s Trade and Investment Promotion Institute is also lending support in securing VIPs and prominent business visitors.
Asian Business Aviation coincides with Reed Exhibitions’ annual and premier Global Gaming Expo Asia, G2E Asia, the biggest and most influential gaming event in Asia. The event will be attended by over 4,500 gaming professionals, owners of casinos, cruise ships and gaming clubs. Macau’s grand Venetian hotel, the largest hotel in the world is Asian Business Aviation’s preferred hotel and the venue for the AsBAA-supported conference.
Delegates attending Asian Business Aviation will be business aviation operators, charter broker companies, airports and Fixed Base Operators, aircraft interiors, ground handling companies, insurance companies, fuel service companies, in-flight catering and other complementary ground support companies who do business in Asia or who want to expand into Asia. The visitor profile is pitched at CEOs and senior executives, entrepreneurs and corporates who may be shopping for a jet or helicopter, plus heads of advisory services in law, finance/leasing, maintenance and senior travel services executives.
