Busy Christmas for P&O with 15,000 passengers

Around 15,000 passengers will be spending Christmas Day at sea with P&O Cruises this year, it has revealed.
Stretching across the globe from the Canaries to the Baltic and the Caribbean, Christmas Day will see P&O serve more than 22,000 Christmas dinners using five tons of potatoes, two tons of sprouts and 1000 turkeys weighing 24 lbs each.
For those with a sweet tooth there will be 22,000 servings of Christmas pudding, 19,600 portions of Christmas cake, 24,500 mince pies and 17,000 portions of Yule log.
The ships will be decorated with trees, garlands and wreaths, accompanied by Christmas carols, Christmas shows and a Christmas parade. Special nativity plays will be available on the family friendly ships Aurora, Azura , Oceana and Ventura.
On Christmas Day, Father Christmas is onboard and Christmas church services will be held.
Its New Years Eve celebrations will be a formal occasion with a five course gala dinner followed by live music with a countdown to midnight in all bars and nightclubs.
