Hong Kong’s Cachet Hotel Group has unveiled plans to open a high-end hotel at a new motor racing circuit in eastern China.
The Zhejiang Circuit is currently under construction in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, and will feature a 3.3km FIA Grade 2 racing track with a 6,000-pax capacity grandstand, a motorsport club, driving schools, car show rooms, restaurants and a shopping mall.
Opening in late 2016, Cachet Boutique Zhejiang Circuit will offer 52 rooms, plus Chinese and steakhouse restaurants, a spa, swimming pool and fitness centre.
“We are… honoured to play a role in creating an exciting and new destination for China,” said CHG’s CEO & president, Alexander Mirza. “The Zhejiang Circuit development fits our strategy of partnering with visionary developers to create integrated experiences for lifestyle travellers and guests.”
The Cachet Boutique Zhejiang Circuit will become the second Cachet Boutique-branded hotel in China, following an existing property in Shanghai. And a third property will be launched in Wuhan in 2017.
Zhejiang Circuit is expected to open in 2016.
