Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer luxury train is targeting the Chinese market.
The rail tour operator has appointed The Walshe Group as its new General Sales Agent (GSA) in China, in an effort to build on the strong rise in Chinese tourist arrivals to Canada.
“The Walshe Groups extensive global experience supporting iconic travel brands, along with its superior customer service made it the perfect partner for Rocky Mountaineer in this region,” said Robert Halfpenny, Rocky Mountaineer’s director of Asia Pacific sales.
“China is a critical market for us and we are looking forward to bringing Rocky Mountaineer’s unmatched travel experience to guests from the region.”
Launched in 1990, the Rocky Mountaineer offers five routes through the Canadian Rockies, with trains featuring glass domed coaches that allow guests to view the mountain scenery.
