Carnival Breeze has officially been named at a commemorative ceremony at PortMiami.
The vessel, which is the newest addition to Carnival Cruise Lines’ fleet, was initiated into the company by its godmother Tracy Wilson Mourning , founder of the Honey Shine mentoring programme.
Miami has been our home since our company was founded 40 years ago and it’s truly an honor having a hometown hero like Tracy Wilson Mourning – who has made such a tremendous impact on the lives of young women in our community – serve as godmother to our newest and largest Miami-based ship,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO.
As a recognition of the work the Honey Shine mentoring programme has done, Carnival presented a US$25,000 donation to the charity which looks to pair young girls with female role models.
The new ship will be complete with WaterWorks waterpark and the SportSquare area complete with suspended rope course and miniature golf. There will also be a Thrill Theatre which develops an immersive, multidimensional experience making viewers feel that they are part of the film.
The ship will also have the line’s first full service sushi restaurant, Guy’s Burger Joint and Fat Jimmy’s C-Side BBQ.
