Making reservations to Central America has been made easier following two separate agreements signed with global distribution system Amadeus by the Central America Tourism Council (CCT) and the regional carrier TACA Airlines.
The CCT has signed a social responsibility with Amadeus to support small and medium tourism businesses and promote sustainable tourism in Central America.
TACA has signed a five year, full content agreement with Amadeus, giving Amadeus travel agencies worldwide guaranteed access to the fares and inventory that the airline makes available to the public through its consumer website and direct sales office, as well as through third-party sites.
Through the Amadeus global distribution system, small hotels and inns, as well as TACA, will have access to a much bigger market and the opportunity to increase sales and carry out promotional activities to encourage international demand.
In addition, the agreement with the CCT includes the preparation by Amadeus of monthly reports analysing the bookings to Central America made from 20 market in Europe, North, Central and South America, which will give the CCT a clear overview of the tourism situation in the region.
These two new agreements, together with the promotional activities in European markets carried out by the Central America Tourism Agency, are expected to help increase the number of visitors to Central America.
