Cathay Pacific Airways is cancelling its entire flight services in and out of Hong Kong from this afternoon. The last flight planned to depart Hong Kong is CX870 to San Francisco at 2.10pm. The cancellation of flights will be in effect through to 2am tomorrow morning.
The decision was made due to safety concerns resulting from the passage of Typhoon Nuri. The strong winds are forecast to exceed operational limits, the airline said.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight through the airlines website, www.cathaypacific.com , before departing for the airport.
