Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) will continue its international expansion next year, with the launch of the first ever direct connection between Cebu and Tokyo.
Commencing on 26 March 2015, the new service will operate four times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
Flights will depart Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 0555 and arrive at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport at 1120. The return service will then depart at 1205, arriving back into the Philippines at 1645.
The new route will complement CEB’s existing flights from Manila to Tokyo Narita, which commenced in March this year.
“Cebu Pacific has a good track record of stimulating travel because of its low fares and network. With this direct access to Cebu, we hope more Japanese tourists will visit the Philippines, just in time for the Visit the Philippines Year 2015,” said CEB’s vice president for marketing & distribution, Candice Iyog.
CEB operates the most flights out of Mactan-Cebu International Airport, connecting the hub direct to 25 domestic and international destinations.
As well as Tokyo, CEB also flies direct from Manila to the Japanese cities of Osaka and Nagoya.
