Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) has taken delivery of two brand new Airbus A320 aircraft in the past two weeks, and expects to receive two more in late October and December 2011. The Philippine low-cost carrier has used the new aircraft to boost domestic flight frequencies this month, with extra flights to Boracay, Davao, Coron and Naga.
In January 2012, CEB is also planning to add boost its services from Manila to Beijing (from three to four weekly flights), Singapore (from 32 to 35), Brunei (from three to four) and Kuala Lumpur (from 10 to 14). The airline will also add extra capacity to Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok in Q1 2012.
“Accepting delivery of more brand-new aircraft is always exciting for us at CEB. Not only because our expansion plans are on track, but also because it allows us to continue providing the lowest fares possible, and even more travel convenience and options,” said CEB’s Vice President for Marketing & Distribution, Candice Iyog.
By the end of 2011, CEB will be operating a fleet of 37 aircraft, and will take delivery of a further 55 A320 and A320neo aircraft between 2012 and 2021.
