Butlins has announced plans for a new Chalet Village at its Minehead site.
A GBP16 million investment will be put into building 117 chalets which are due to open during Easter.
The holiday operator has been talking to Mumsnet users to develop the new chalets, which build on a trend for nostalgia.
The chalets will only feature televisions in the family areas and parents’ bedroom to encourage more family time and each chalet will have craft activities for rainy days.
Outdoor sports will also be available and play areas have been developed so children can interact.
“Butlins partnership with Mumsnet and this significant investment in our new Chalets demonstrates to our agent friends that we are dedicated to bringing the best experience possible to their customers,” said national sales manager Louise Tansey. “We’ve always put families at the heart of our brand – and our resorts – so by asking families to help us reinvent something so iconic, we can truly say we understand and support modern, hard-working families.”
A four-night break in the chalets would start from GBP99.
