China, Rwanda and Nicaragua have become Cheapflight UK’s top three destinations.Flights to China rose by 144% from year-on- year, followed by Rwanda with a 47% increase and Nicaragua at 36%. Nadine Hallak, Travel Expert for Cheapflights UK said: “The two most interesting trends to come out of the recession are a heightened global conscience and a thirst for exploration.”China’s reputation has grown after staging the 2008 Olympics, helped by its reasonable hotel prices. A now stabilised Rwanda offers visitors beaches and mountains to explore, including the gorillas. Likewise, Nacaragua has overcome natural disasters and dictatorship to become an undiscovered, inexpensive destination with rainforest nearby.Ms Hallak added: “Travellers are more up to going the distance not only in flight time, but also in adventure. Whether it’s helping to feed an economy that’s fighting to grow or getting better acquainted with one that’s already booming.”
