Chefs to showcase Thai cuisine in Bangladesh

Two chefs from Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket will showcase royal Thai cuisine at a ‘Thai Food and Cultural Festival’ in Bangladesh that began this week.The 10-day international event is being held at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel Dhaka. Over 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which is co-organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka and Thai Airways International.The chefs plan to impress by preparing authentic southern Thai cuisine, including signatures dish Nam Prik Goong Siab (Phuket-style dipping sauce of dried-shrimp, chili and smoked shrimp paste served with vegetables) alongside with some of the famous Thai dishes , such as Tom Yam Goong’ (traditional sour and spicy seafood soup), and Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup with chicken and galangal).
