The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) has formed a new partnership with StayZilla in an effort to promote homestays in the state.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Dr Raman Singh, MT Nandi, managing director of the CTB, and Ankit Rastogi, StayZilla’s vice president of marketplace, in the presence of other senior officials.
Under the deal, StayZilla will support registered homestays in the state Chhattisgarh with technical support in the form of inventory management and booking applications. StayZilla and CTB will also jointly conduct educational and training sessions for homestays operators on issues including content management, operations and expense management.
StayZilla’s Rastogi commented; “Chhattisgarh is comparatively unexplored in comparison to the rest of the country and has the potential to offer great destinations for our travellers. Most of these sites are untouched and offer a one of its kind unique and alternate experience to tourists, compared to traditional destinations which have become overcrowded.
“We are very happy to associate with Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) for unlocking more homestays and creating awareness on the need for local and authentic homestays.”
Stayzilla currently has more than 8,000 homestay units in its portfolio. This MoU marks the latest such deal for the company, following previous tie-ups with the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat and Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board.
