China Airlines (CAL) has launched two new direct cross-Strait flights connecting Taiwan to mainland China. Last Tuesday, the airline commenced services between Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport and Sanya, the beach resort destination in Hainan province. The route will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using a Boeing 737-800 featuring eight seats in Business Class and 150 in Economy Class.
Following this, on Friday 9 September, CAL commenced a weekly service between Kaohsiung and Beijing. The Boeing 737-800 flights depart the southern Taiwan city every Friday night, and returning from the Chinese capital every Saturday morning.
