May 31, 2010 - China Airlines (CAL) today announced it will launch a new co-branded credit card with HSBC beginning from July 2010, replacing the co-branded credit card previously offered by CAL and ANZ Bank (the former RBS and ABN AMRO) due to the expiration of their contract. Holders of the outgoing CAL-ANZ co-branded card who have accumulated miles through purchases will have their miles credited to their CAL Dynasty Frequent Flying mileage program before August 31, 2010.
The new HSBC-CAL co-branded credit card will provide cardholders all of the privileges and benefits originally offered by the previous co-branded card, as well as the best incentives for earning Dynasty mileage, obtaining special discounts on air tickets and a 10% discount on all in-flight duty free purchases, enabling cardholders to earn miles with CAL even more easily. To apply for the HSBC-CAL co-branded card, just call the HSBC banking service center at 0800-000-898. As the new CAL-HSBC card is launched, HSBC will provide applicants with the most advantageous card application incentive package and promotional activity information.
China Airlines flies to 89 destinations in 29 countries, providing high-quality passenger and cargo services through its global network. The HSBC Group is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations, as well as the largest multinational bank operating in the “greater China” region, with 35 branches in Taiwan, 99 offices in mainland China and over 300 locations in Hong Kong. The new partnership between CAL and HSBC will provide products even more tailored to travel and business needs, enabling travelers to enjoy better flight travel incentives and financial services.
