China Airlines launches new cross-strait flights

Chinese Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines have announced plans to fly a larger carrier between Taipei and mainland China to provide more cross-strait flights.An Airbus A330-300 will operate on all flights from Taoyuan International Airport to Xian, Shenyaung, Chansha and Zhengzhou in China.”This increased capacity will present further opportunities for UK tourists to enjoy twin holidays between the two destinations in Asia,” said the Taiwan Tourism Board.The tourist board also announced the opening of Asia’s only African resort in Hsinchu County. Guests at the 164-room Leofoo Resort Guanshi can stay in African inspired rooms with unobstructed views of free-roaming giraffes, zebras, rhinoceros, ostriches and lemurs.
