China Eastern unveils daily flight to San Francisco

Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines has launched a daily Shanghai direct to San Francisco service today, 26 April.
The new Airbus 330-200 service departs from Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) at 1300 every day, arriving at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) at 0930 the same day. The flight leaves SFO at 1200, arriving at PVG at 1600 the following afternoon.
China Eastern is the second carrier that has launched a Shanghai-San Francisco daily direct service following American rival United Airlines, but United operates this service with a larger capacity Boeing 747-400.
