China joins aircraft financing pact

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Friday invited China to join a new aircraft financing agreement. The deal, sealed during a ceremony in Paris, aims to unify differences in financing terms and conditions for commercial aircraft around the world. Russia also joined the pact, which currently includes Brazil, Canada, the EU, US and Japan. Xinhua reported the OECD’s Secretary-General, Angel Gurria, as saying that the financing rules would create allow all aircraft manufacturers to compete “on a level playing field”.
