China measures oldest section of Great Wall

China will start work to preserve the oldest section of the Great Wall, following several months of studies to determine its length, Xinhua has reported. The Great Wall’s oldest section was built between 770BC to 476BC in the ancient state of Qi. After a seven-month investigation, the Great Wall of Qi was found to stretch 620km from Jinan City to Qingdao, in Shandong province, the report stated.
