China Southern Airlines posted a massive increase in profits in 2010. Filing its annual report with the Shanghai Stock Exchange yesterday, the airline said its net profit increased 1,424% year-on-year to CNY5.8 billion (US$883 million). The figure represents a resurgence for the Guangzhou-based airline, however it does compare with a poor 2009, which saw China Southern register profits of just CNY381 million.
