Chinese carrier China Southern has took delivery of its new Airbus A320 at Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport.
The aircraft, which was delivered by the Tianjin Assembly Factory of Airbus S.A. launched its maiden voyage on the Dalian-Nanjing Xiamen route on 26 April.
The company has now allocated 21 Airbuses to its Dalian hub. The fleet consists of eleven A321s, two A320s and eight A319s. Varied aircraft help complement one another, enabling the carrier to adapt to market changes and win majority market share.
China Southern Airlines has the largest seat capacity at Dalian Hub. The carrier will take delivery of two to three Airbus jets each year ahead, as requirements dictate.
It is reported that the company’s Dalian branch will receive another four A320s this year, keeping up with the airport’s infrastructure upgrade.
The hub will also host the Dalian-Changsha-Kunming and Dalian-Chongquing-Nanning service, adding long-haul routes such as the Dalian-Urumqui service.
