China, Taiwan to double flights

China and Taiwan will increase flights the number of flights connecting the countries to 270 a week from 31 August, compared with 108 currently, Bloomberg reported, citing Chinese state media. According to the report, China and Taiwan signed an agreement in April to increase flights, but the date was changed by the mainland because it needed time to prepare. Fares may fall by 15% as the numbers of flights rise, the report added.
