A new Hello Kitty theme park will be developed in China. Channel NewsAsia reported officials with the Japanese cute cartoon character’s company as saying that a CNY1.5 billion (US$231 million) outdoor park would rise in the city of Anji, in eastern China’s Zhejiang province. Construction is scheduled to commence in the second half of this year, with the park’s opening expected in 2014. The park will include a hotel, the report added.
