China tourism boycott over Dalai Lama’s Taiwan visit

China has told tour groups to call off planned trips to a city in Taiwan after the Dalai Lama visited there. Hotels in Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second-largest city, have received thousands of Chinese cancellations this month, the China Times has reported. According to the report, the cancellations follow instructions from Chinese authorities to mainland tour groups.
